Comprised of cottage-style accommodations with stunning water views, as well as immersive dining experiences, Cambridge Beaches is a first of its kind for the island, the hotel group’s Phil Hospod-led update Dovetail + Cowith interior design by Kellyan Hee (formerly of Soho House, with design credits that include The Hoxton Williamsburg), blending authentic old-world charm with elegantly appointed interiors.
Working with existing architectural details dating back to the 17th century, the cottages feature a blend of Portuguese, Spanish and British aesthetics, each with expansive outdoor patios and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean or Mangrove Bay. Tropical charm blends floral prints and bold colors, while collections of bespoke furniture and contemporary modern art by Bermudian artists add a touch of luxury.
The 86 rooms have 300 sheets, bathrobes and slippers, Nespresso coffeemakers and Molten Brown toiletries as standard, while the cottages, some with private pools, come with outdoor showers, lounge chairs for relaxing. in the sun, a spacious dressing room and a luxurious bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower.
Located just steps from the water, Breezes is an open-air restaurant serving elevated island cuisine with a killer sunset side, while Sunken Harbor Club by award-winning mixologist and restaurateur, St. John Frizell of the Sunken Harbor Club in Brooklyn, keeps customers properly hydrated. on those long hot days.
