Board of Health announces health services agreement during citywide nucleic acid testing period

MACAO, June 19 – The Health Bureau announces that during the citywide nucleic acid testing period of June 19e at 21st June, the accident and emergency department (including the emergency station on the island) and the hospitalization department will remain functional as normal; from 20e at 21st June, the Day Hospital of the Hemato-Oncology Service, the Hemodialysis Unit and the CHCSJ Pharmacy will also operate normally; while specialized outpatient services (including outpatients, radiology, blood sampling and clinical pathology analyses, internal medicine endoscopy service, urology diagnostic and day treatment service and outpatient rehabilitation services) , elective scheduled surgery and the peritoneal dialysis service will be suspended from 19e June, and resumption of normal operation from 22n/a June.

The CHCSJ will be closing all tours starting today until further notice. Any particular situation will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis; for any enquiries, please call the hospital hotline on 8390 6000 or 8390 3600.

Persons who cannot benefit from a medical consultation, treatment or examination service at the CHCSJ due to the above provisions as of the 19e at 21st June will be informed within seven working days by the units/departments concerned of the new appointment date. Relevant users of clinical pathology blood collection and analysis can go to the blood collection room to have their blood drawn according to the sequence number on the first Saturday after the nucleic acid testing program is completed at the scale of the city; people who need a test service sooner due to illnesses can have their blood drawn on the first working day after the program, i.e. 22n/a June. During the period of mass testing, the services of the Public Health Laboratory, various Health Centers and Health Posts, as well as the Civil Servants’ Physical Examination Center are suspended, maintaining only the nursing service from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. days. ; the blood center is providing services as usual. Users of health centers and health posts whose appointment has been canceled can go to the corresponding health center or health post according to the initial time slot for services on the first Saturday and Sunday, as well as the second Saturday after the conclusion of the citywide nucleic acid testing program. For the services of the Physical Examination Center for Civil Servants, affected users will be notified of the new appointment time separately.

Regarding services at COVID-19 vaccination points, except for the Macau Forum Large Community Vaccination Post (open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and Toi San Workers’ Medical Clinic (open 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), all other vaccination points, including health centers and health posts, Kiang Wu Hospital, University Hospital, etc.) suspended their vaccination service. Residents who need to be vaccinated can go to the Macau Forum or the Toi San Workers’ Medical Clinic for services.
