Adventure Parc invests £5m in corporate facilities

An adrenaline-fueled adventure center has invested £5million in upgrading its facilities to tap into the lucrative business tourism market.

Adventure Parc Snowdonia says it now has “the complete package” to attract more conferences, team building courses, days away and other corporate events to the resort in Dolgarrog, Conwy.

The center recently opened the 106-room Hilton Garden Hotel on site, offering first-class accommodation.

The hotel has four conference rooms that can accommodate events for up to 175 people or smaller meetings for a dozen people.

All have been fitted with hybrid meeting technology systems and have been named after famous Snowdonia peaks – Yr Wyddfa, Crib Goch, Tryfan and Moel Siabod.

The center has also invested in creating a special kitchen for catering demonstrations and a luxury spa with yoga and meditation rooms.

The aim is to develop the center as a year-round destination to generate business in the months outside the traditional tourist season, create more jobs for local people and stimulate the regional economy.

Dylan Evans, Head of Groups and Events Sales, said: “We have all the facilities and technology you need as a conference or meeting venue and an incredible variety of high-adrenaline activities that are perfect for the team building and leadership exercises.

“As well as having the world’s first indoor surfing lagoon, other outdoor activities include obstacle courses, brand new inflatable equipment, stand up paddle boards and raft building for the more competitive.

“We also have a host of undercover options like indoor caving, rock climbing, high ropes, ninja courses and extreme slides.

“We have the whole package with everything close at hand and in an absolutely stunning location.

“This means we can be operational 52 weeks a year and create more jobs for local people and help boost the economy in the Conwy Valley.

“One of our strengths is our proximity to major conurbations in the North West and Midlands.

“The UK business tourism market is worth £25bn a year and we want to grab a bigger slice of the share.”

Big names that have already been attracted to Adventure Parc Snowdonia include Red Bull, Liverpool FC, Huddersfield Giants rugby league team and Scarlets rugby team.
